We recommned avoiding the first and last day of the digs if it is your first time as they include set up and closing down of the site.
The Dig Week Pass entitles you to join a weeks dig for as many days as you wish to attend.

At New Coghurst we are currently excavating a Bronze Age settlement discovered here in 2023. We are welcoming anyone who would like to come and assist us with the excavation, for a unique and exciting way to engage with the ancient history of the British Isles. No previous experience is required, as supervision and tuition will be provided on site by lead archaeologist Cam Ross.
Why not come and stay for the whole week? We run a series of ancestral skills and ecology workshops alongside our dig weeks, which present a great opportunity to immerse even deeper into our Ancient History. Weekly Dig Pass holders also receive a 20% discount when booking accommodation at the farm.
