Primitive tool making for kids30th May

£20.00Price

These monthly sessions explore how the people in the bronze age (and other periods of time in history) might have used natural materials such as wood, flint, cordage and more to make their tools. From bows and arrows to spears, (butter) knives, string and hammers. Children will love the practical application of exploring how they did it back in history whist being hands on and able to take their own creations home with them.

Each session will focus on one tool.

Parents to accompany children.

This session blends really nicely with the kids archaeology dig that will be held in the morning. Excavate on a real bronze age excavation, learn the basics of archaeology, learn about some of the tools and artefacts we are finding here on the farm then have a go at making a tool in the afternoon!

We recommend booking onto both but you can do either as a standalone session.

Session length 2.5 hours

Age: Geared towards 7yrs plus but younger (5 and up) can attend if parent is able to support

Cost: £20 (child and adult combined)

Date: 25th April 1pm-3.30pm
