14th-19th June (New Coghurst Farm Bonze Age Settlement)

31st Aug-5th September (New Coghurst Farm Bonze Age Settlement)
We recommend avoiding the first and last day of the digs if it is your first time as they include set up and closing down of the site.
At New Coghurst we are currently excavating a Bronze Age settlement discovered here in 2023. We are welcoming anyone who would like to come and assist us with the excavation, for a unique and exciting way to engage with the ancient history of the British Isles. No previous experience is required, as supervision and tuition will be provided on site by lead archaeologist Cam Ross.
We try to keep the cost of joining the dig low to keep the experience accessible to as many people as possible. Your £10 contribution goes towards the ongoing costs of running the dig at New Coghurst Farm and enables us to keep the excavation project going.
