At New Coghurst we are currently excavating a Bronze Age settlement discovered here in 2023. We are welcoming anyone who would like to come and assist us with the excavation, for a unique and exciting way to engage with the ancient history of the British Isles. No previous experience is required, as supervision and tuition will be provided on site by lead archaeologist Cam Ross.
Why not come and stay for the whole week? We run a series of ancestral skills and ecology workshops alongside our dig weeks, which present a great opportunity to immerse even deeper into our Ancient History. Weekly Dig Pass holders also receive a 35% discount when booking accommodation at the farm. Head to the 'Plan Your Visit' page on our website for more information.
We aim to keep the cost of attending the dig low, keeping it accessible to as many people as possible. Your contribution will go towards funding the archaeological dig, research and anaylsis of findings at New Coghurst Farm. To further support our work, please consider booking a workshop or accommodation with us during your visit.
