Learning the language of horses

Spending time with horses in a natural environment can help us learn and understand how they behave as a herd and how they communicate with each other. By understanding their language and innate needs it can help us to bridge the gap of communication between us and them and develop authentic, deep and meaningful connections.
Our 1.5hr group sessions for home-ed children offer the opportunity to come and spend time with our herd of 13 horses and 2 donkeys who live in a natural environment here at the farm. Our time spent with the herd is a combination of being in the fields with the herd and learning through curiosity about the horses and their behaviour and approaching and connecting with herd members. All time spent with the horses is in the fields/barns where the horses have free choice to roam.
We don't ride or put any tack on the horses, we spend time with them in a natural way where they have choice and so do we!
