Connecting with nature days
Our Connecting with nature days offer families an opportunity to come and spend time together in nature connecting through play, wander, education and curiosity of the natural world around us.
Our days are themed throughout the year in line with the seasons and are suitable for adults and children 4yrs and up. Younger siblings are welcome to join too.
At Wilding in the Weald we are inspired by the nature that surrounds us and have a keen passion to make sure nature can thrive. Through our wilding and conservation project and the heritage work we are doing here with the discovery of the bronze age settlement and wanting to reconstitute the settlement to how it would have been; we are keen to use skills our ancestors would have been using back when they lived on the land. Some of our days will include exploring the use of these skills. We feel developing a healthy relationship with nature and ourselves is essential for our future generations and the planet and these days aim to give all those who attend an opportunity to connect and be with nature.
On our days we:
Age: Suitable for adults and children 4 and above (younger siblings are welcome though)
Dates and times: coming soon for late summer and autumn
Equipment: Please wear mucky clothes, expect to get mucky, wellies or a boot are ideal. Clothing appropriate to the time of year, we recommend waterproof jacket and trousers when it rains and warm coat and over trousers in winter. In Summer please bring a hat and sun lotion.
Bring your own packed lunch, snacks and drinks.
